How to Get Out of Jail in Fort Bend County
In most situations, the quickest way to get someone out of jail is by
posting his or her bail. This can be done in two ways: (1) posting the
entire amount of the bail bond in cash, or (2) using a professional
bondsman.
The purpose of bail is to guarantee the presence of the defendant at all
court appearances. Bail is not meant to punish a defendant. In
the event you post a cash bond and appear in court as required the full bond
amount less a small administrative fee is returned when the case is
finalized. In the event the defendant fails to appear in court, his
bail may be forfeited.
The bondsman has entered an agreement with the County whereby he
guarantees the appearance of the accused at all future court dates. The
bondsman charges a fee for his services. Over the years, my clients have
used all of the local bondsman with few problems.
